My career as an Educational Consultant began years ago when a family member approached me for support with their child’s academic needs. The family member relayed to me the exhaustive list of their efforts in working with their child’s school and the countless parent-teacher conferences they attended to advocate for their child. I quickly found myself reviewing educational records, 504 accommodation plans, and notes sent home from the school, only to discover that the child’s school district was not in compliance with meeting their needs as a neurodivergent learner. From this moment on, my passion for education extended beyond the classroom setting as a retired teacher of 28 years, and I decided to advocate for children’s academic success as an Educational Consultant.
I strive to empower parents and their children as they navigate the educational process. Having been a parent, as well as a teacher, I have sat on both sides of the table and can empathize with the tumultuous journey of accessing a free and accessible educational environment for a child.
